About
Hi! I’m Jamie. I launched Ovation Creative because I love creating beautiful, professional brands and websites for talented people
like you.

My background
It’s hard for me to believe, but I’ve been working as a graphic designer for nearly 20 years! Fresh out of college, I planned to use my music degree to launch a career in arts administration, but my path quickly shifted to graphic design after I discovered a love for creating brochures, concert programs, newsletters, and websites for the non-profits I worked for.
Since then, I’ve worked in web and print design for businesses across a wide range of industries, including park districts, libraries, wineries, law offices, and more. Now, I’m excited to change my focus to helping talented, creative people share their passion with the world.
When you work with me…
You’ll benefit from my attention to detail and organization. I thought I wanted to be a teacher when I was little, but it turns out what I really liked was making worksheets, decorating the bulletin board, and organizing the grade book. Today, these skills serve me well in my design career.
You’ll feel supported every step of the way. I pride myself on offering a high level of customer service and professionalism. My carefully-crafted processes ensure that we’re always on the same page, and that you know what to expect next.
You get to spend more time doing what YOU love—whether that’s creating art, making music, perfecting recipes, or welcoming guests to your cozy retreat.
My favorite part of the design process?
I love doing research and digging deep into what makes you and your business special. Learning about your talents, goals, and industry helps me explore designs to see how we can best communicate your uniqueness to your audience.
Behind the scenes…
In my free time I enjoy singing, reading, travel, gardening and decorating cookies. While I’m based in the Chicago area, My happy place is Door County, Wisconsin, where I’ve enjoyed many a family vacation and spent two summers working in the office at Peninsula Players Theater.
